About - Joshua Strub

I grew up and lived in Switzerland (Basel) until the age of 26. In September 2017 I decided to face a new challenge and started working as a personal trainer in Scotland (Aberdeen).

All my life I have been dealing with sports and diets. I played football from the age of 11 until the age of 23, participated in boxing sessions during my university time and joined the military special forces of Switzerland for six months which required an extremely high level of physical and mental strength.

Since the age of 14 I have a big passion for strength training and
nutrition. During the first three years I just worked out with my own body weight and tried to get stronger in exercises such as pull ups, push ups and planks. I love the feeling after an effective workout but I also embrace the pain while I am pushing myself to accomplish more than in the last workout.

In 2014 I decided to stop playing football due to a knee injury and took the decision to just focus on strength training. As I always make sure that my knowledge is up to date, I invested a lot of money and time in fitness seminars sometimes travelling 20 hours in a car, just to hear about the newest scientific research in different topics such as gaining muscles or losing fat.

I am fascinated about gaining knowledge in these topics and I want to make sure that everything I teach or suggest to my clients is scientifically proven and approved.

I am currently a level 4 personal trainer and nutritionist, which is one of the highest qualifications you can get.

My purpose is to show people an effective way on how to improve their live quality by simple changes regarding their health and diet.
